Loader-2nd shift

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, supports production and shipping by locating, loader, making minor repairs and moving production to the shipping area

1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

   1. Locate required product by using load list
   2. Move product carefully to area to be loaded onto returnable carts to avoid damaging product
   3. Verify product has been QC’d before loading
   4. If product has a QC hold tag, make minor repairs (after being trained) or locate a repair person to correct.
   5. Load the product onto returnable carts based on the load list
   6. Pull the carts over to the shipping area in load list order
   7. Work closely with the assembly builders and QC to make sure product is ready to ship when required.
   8. Verify all product is secured onto the returnable carts.
   9. Scan product to verify correct parts are on carts.
   10. Not required for the position but can be trained on forklift to load and unload trailers.

   1. Mechanically adept
   2. Attention to detail
   3. Able to prioritize and work under schedule demands
   4. Good communication skills
   5. Computer literate
   6. Able to read all precision measuring instruments
   7. Ability to read and interpret specifications

3. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

   1. A high school diploma or equivalent along with;

4. LANGUAGE SKILLS

   1. Ability to write reports in the English language
   2. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors and/or managers in the English language

5. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

   1. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages
   2. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

6. REASONING ABILITY

   1. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists
   2. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
   3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
   4. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
