Our operations support general freight, full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), regional distribution, expedited shipments, and a variety of commercial transportation needs.

As our freight operations continue to grow, we are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Loader to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing the job correctly, and works well in a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment.

Position Overview

The Loader is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient movement of freight during daily loading and unloading operations. This position assists with receiving incoming freight, staging outgoing shipments, loading and unloading trucks and trailers, organizing materials, and ensuring cargo is handled carefully and accurately.

The successful candidate will be reliable, attentive to detail, physically capable of performing warehouse and freight-handling tasks, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Previous loading, warehouse, or freight-handling experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates who demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight, pallets, packages, and materials from trucks and trailers
• Move freight between receiving, staging, storage, and loading areas
• Stage and organize outgoing shipments according to schedules and loading instructions
• Verify freight labels, quantities, destinations, and other shipment information
• Assist with positioning freight to maximize available trailer space while maintaining safe load distribution
• Handle palletized goods and other commercial freight carefully to help prevent damage
• Inspect freight and packaging for visible damage or irregularities before loading
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrectly labeled freight to the appropriate team member
• Assist with receiving incoming shipments and placing materials in designated areas
• Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and other material-handling equipment as required
• Assist with securing and stabilizing freight for transportation
• Follow loading instructions, shipping documentation, and established operational procedures
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatch personnel, and other team members to support efficient loading and timely departures
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe loading, staging, and work areas
• Follow company safety procedures and proper lifting and material-handling practices
• Assist with general freight and operational duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or freight handling is preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physically active work throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic ability to read shipping labels, work orders, and freight documentation
• Comfortable working around trucks, trailers, loading areas, and material-handling equipment
• Willingness to learn company procedures and safe freight-handling practices
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and responsible cargo handling

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, carry, and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Ability to safely lift and move packages, freight, and other materials
• Ability to work in an active freight and transportation environment
• Ability to perform physical duties throughout the scheduled shift
