Loader

Key Loading is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Loader to support daily receiving, material handling, and order preparation activities. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying active, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in keeping materials organized and operations running efficiently.

Position Overview

The Loader supports the safe and efficient movement of incoming and outgoing materials. This position assists with loading and unloading deliveries, receiving and staging items, organizing materials in designated areas, and preparing orders or shipments for pickup, transfer, or delivery.

The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to detail, comfortable with physical work, and able to follow established procedures in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in loading, receiving, shipping, warehouse operations, or material handling is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages, materials, supplies, and other items from delivery vehicles
• Receive incoming deliveries and move materials to designated staging or storage areas
• Prepare and stage outgoing orders according to schedules and instructions
• Move materials safely between receiving, storage, staging, and loading areas
• Verify quantities, labels, order information, and basic shipping documentation
• Sort and organize materials to support efficient order preparation
• Inspect incoming and outgoing items for visible damage, incorrect labels, or discrepancies
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrectly received materials to the appropriate team member
• Assist with packing, wrapping, labeling, and securing items for transportation
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and other approved material-handling equipment as needed
• Help maintain organized inventory and accurate placement of materials
• Locate and retrieve items for scheduled orders, pickups, or transfers
• Follow work orders, handling instructions, and established operating procedures
• Coordinate with operations team members to support accurate and timely order preparation
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe loading, staging, and storage areas
• Follow workplace safety procedures and proper material-handling practices
• Assist with additional receiving, loading, and operational duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in loading, unloading, receiving, shipping, inventory, warehouse operations, or material handling is preferred but not required
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Comfortable performing physically active work throughout the scheduled shift
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Basic ability to read labels, work orders, and shipping information
• Willingness to learn company procedures and proper material-handling practices
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and responsible handling of materials

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, carry, and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Ability to safely lift and move packages, supplies, and other materials consistent with the requirements of the position
• Ability to perform loading, unloading, staging, and material-handling duties throughout the workday
