Loader Operator (Snow Removal)

Position Summary

Loader Operators are responsible for the operation of loaders and heavy machinery to remove, pile, and relocate snow on commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities also include clearing drive lanes, parking lots, and roadways. The Loader Operator will load salt and de-icing materials as required, and conduct equipment checks. They will coordinate with team leaders, respond promptly to call-outs, ensure safety compliance, and maintain a professional appearance to represent the company positively.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate loaders and other related heavy machinery to remove, pile, and relocate snow on commercial and residential properties
• Clear drive lanes, parking lots, roadways, and designated dumping areas efficiently and safely
• Load salt and de-icing materials into trucks and spreaders as needed
• Conduct pre-operation checks and routine maintenance inspections to ensure equipment is in safe, working condition
• Communicate with team leaders and field crews to coordinate snow removal activities
• Respond promptly to call-outs during snow events, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent Regan Landscape positively on all job sites
• Other duties as assigned or required

Position Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience operating loaders of similar heavy equipment, preferred
• Valid NYS Driver’s License, required
• Availability for on-call shifts and all snow events, including overnight and weekends, required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in operating loaders, skid steers, and other snow removal equipment
• Understanding of proper snow stacking, load placement, and clearing strategies
• Strong spatial awareness and ability to navigate in tight or high-traffic environments
• Knowledge of standard safety practices related to heavy machinery and snow operations
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently under pressure
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
