LOADER OPERATOR / YARD & STOCK COORDINATOR – NELSON

We’re looking for a reliable, conscientious and organised person to join our client’s team in this varied Loader Operator / Yard & Stock Coordinator role.

You’ll be responsible for keeping the yard and stock organised, operating machinery, coordinating transport and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.

The Role

• Operate a Loader and forklift to move and manage stock around the yard
• Manage and maintain accurate stock levels and inventory
• Monitor stock requirements for customer orders
• Create purchase requisitions for stock required to fulfil customer orders
• Coordinate incoming stock deliveries with transport companies
• Arrange stock collections and deliveries to clients
• Liaise with transport companies, suppliers and customers
• Prepare and load materials for customer deliveries
• Maintain accurate computer-based stock and delivery records
• Keep the yard clean, tidy, organised and safe
• Complete daily machinery checks and basic maintenance

What You’ll Need

* Previous Loader operating experience
* WTR endorsement – essential
* Forklift licence with current OSH certificate – essential
* Computer literate and confident using stock/order systems
* Experience with stock control and purchasing
* Able to create and manage purchase requisitions
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Confident liaising with transport companies, suppliers and customers
* Excellent attention to detail
* Conscientious, reliable and takes ownership
* Strong Health & Safety awareness
* Nelson based

The Person

This role would suit someone who is practical and hands-on but also comfortable with the administrative side of the job.

You’ll need to be organised, communicate well and have the initiative to identify what stock is required, arrange transport and make sure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.

💰 $35–$40 per hour depending on experience
