Loader/Unloader

Position Summary

Waseem Anwar LLC is looking for a dependable Loader/Unloader to assist with the movement of goods during daily shipping and receiving activities. This hands-on position involves loading and unloading deliveries, arranging items in designated areas, and checking shipments for visible damage or discrepancies. The right candidate will be punctual, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an active environment where teamwork matters. No specialized background is needed, and training will be provided to help the new team member learn the process.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload boxes, packages, and other goods from delivery vehicles and designated staging areas.
• Move items to the correct storage, sorting, or dispatch locations.
• Arrange shipments neatly to help prevent damage and make items easier to locate.
• Check package labels and shipping lists to confirm that goods are placed in the correct areas.
• Count items when needed and report missing, damaged, or incorrectly labeled packages.
• Assist with preparing outgoing shipments for scheduled pickups and deliveries.
• Keep loading zones, walkways, and work areas clean and free of obstructions.
• Follow safe lifting practices and established procedures when handling cargo.
• Work with coworkers to complete loading and unloading tasks on schedule.
• Notify a supervisor or team lead when equipment, supplies, or shipment information needs attention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely around packages and deliveries.
• Dependable attendance and a positive approach to assigned tasks.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly.
• Attention to detail when sorting, counting, and moving items.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting items within established workplace limits.
• No previous experience required; training provided.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with warehouse tasks, freight handling, stocking, or package sorting.
• Ability to stay organized and maintain a steady pace during busy periods.

Pay: $22.30 - $23.30 per hour
