About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Loading Assistant to join our Local Haulage and Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the physical loading and unloading of goods, securing cargo, handling delivery documentation, and operating a forklift to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the safe loading, unloading, and manual handling of cargo from vehicles.
• Ensure all cargo is properly and securely packed for transport.
• Tally shipments during loading and unloading, fill in and sign necessary documentation, and obtain required client signatures.
• Operate a forklift efficiently while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations at all times.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and work collaboratively within a team to meet operational standards.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned by superiors.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven working experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Valid Forklift Licence .
• Familiarity with inventory software, databases, and modern warehousing practices.
• Strong organizational skills and efficient time management.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks.
• Clean Police Conduct certificate.
