Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Shovel Operator to join our team, responsible for operating heavy machinery on-site to support various agricultural and construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and commercial driving practices, ensuring efficient and safe operation of equipment such as excavators and shovels. Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and related heavy machinery, including excavators, in accordance with safety protocols and project requirements
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials across the site using commercial driving skills
• Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate activities and ensure smooth workflow during operations

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within agricultural or construction settings
• Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery, including tractors and excavators, is highly desirable
• Prior experience operating excavators or similar equipment will be considered an advantage
• Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy vehicles and machinery
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.50-£16.00 per hour
