Green Energy Fuel Limited is seeking a reliable and experienced Loading Shovel Operative to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant machinery, ensuring materials are handled correctly while maintaining high operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently.
• Loading, moving, and handling materials across the site.
• Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting any defects.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met.
• Following all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Assisting with general site operations as required.

Essential Requirements

• Valid Loading Shovel experience (essential).
• Strong understanding of health and safety within an operational environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
• Good communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Telehandler experience and certification.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) experience and certification.
• Previous experience working within recycling, waste management, aggregates, biomass, or similar industrial environments.

Working Hours

• 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
• Shift details to be discussed during the interview process.

Holiday

• 20 days annual leave
