Loan Processing & Bank Statement Specialist (Australia Based)

We are currently looking for a sharp and detail-oriented Loan Processing & Bank Statement Specialist to support the core loan processing and data workflow for a growing Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) lender based in Australia.

In this role, you will sit right between the inbound application pipeline and the underwriting team. You’ll be responsible for making sure every deal is triaged, accurately scrubbed, and processed quickly so our underwriters can make fast, informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inbox & Application Triage: Manage and monitor the shared applications inbox; triage and action incoming requests from brokers and merchants in a timely manner.
• Document Management: Download, organize, and file bank statements and supporting loan documentation.
• CRM Data Entry: Create and update deal records and contact profiles accurately within HubSpot CRM.
• Bank Statement Scrubbing: Export CSV statement data into Excel and perform thorough scrubbing to identify and remove non-revenue income (e.g., internal transfers, loan proceeds, tax refunds) to calculate true trading revenue.
• Underwriter Handover: Update deal statuses in HubSpot and seamlessly hand off fully scrubbed packages to underwriters for final credit assessment.
• Pipeline Support: Proactively follow up with brokers and merchants to obtain missing or incomplete documentation.
• General Administration: Provide operational admin support to keep loan processing running smoothly.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: Background in lending, loan processing, bookkeeping, or financial/bank statement analysis required. Experience in Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) or business lending is highly regarded.
• Excel Proficiency: Solid hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel (working with CSV data, formulas, and data cleanup).
• CRM Knowledge: Previous experience with a CRM system (HubSpot experience is a major plus).
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous with numbers, data accuracy, and spotting financial anomalies.
• Communication: Clear, professional written English for broker and merchant correspondence.
• Shift Availability: Willingness and capability to work aligned with Australian Business Hours (AEST/AEDT).
