Join a growing Australian mortgage broking firm as the broker’s first dedicated support hire, working 100% remotely with a direct line to the broker and real room to grow as the business scales.
Role Summary
This role owns the loan file across its full lifecycle, from fact find and document collection through to lodgement, approval, settlement and post-settlement care. Day to day, you will manage document requests, complete fact finds and data entry in Mercury, prepare application documents, submit pricing requests and order valuations, and respond to lender MIRs to keep assessment moving. You will also help manage the broker’s inbox and keep clients updated at every stage of their loan. As the broker’s first dedicated support hire, you will work directly with the broker from day one, with genuine scope for the role to grow alongside the business.

- Collect and chase client documents, issue document requests, and keep every file complete and organised from first enquiry
- Complete fact finds and enter client and loan data accurately into Mercury
- Prepare application documents and lodgement-ready files for the broker’s review
- Submit pricing requests and order valuations, following up with lenders and BDMs to keep deals moving
- Respond promptly to lender Missing Information Requests (MIRs), gathering what is needed from clients and resubmitting to keep assessment on track
- Track and satisfy approval and settlement conditions, liaising with lenders, solicitors and conveyancers through to settlement
- Draft client emails and progress updates on the broker’s behalf, and help manage the broker’s inbox by flagging urgent items and keeping follow-ups on track
- Support post-settlement care, including client check-ins and rate reviews
- Proactively flag gaps, issues or delays early so nothing slips through the cracks
What We Are Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience as a Loan Processor or in a similar role within an Australian mortgage broking business
- Strong working knowledge of the loan process from fact find through to settlement, including core concepts such as LVR, serviceability and lender policy
- Experience with Mercury is highly regarded, although experience with other broker CRMs will be considered
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the speed to keep a busy pipeline moving
- Genuinely proactive and switched on, able to pick up a file and run with it with minimal hand-holding
- Strong organisation, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines without dropping the ball
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Demonstrated employment stability, ideally around two years or more with previous employers
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career and growing alongside the team
Requirements
- Stable work-from-home setup (reliable internet, laptop/desktop, quiet workspace)
- Proactive attitude, able to follow up clients, lenders, and third parties without being prompted
- Able to work Australian business hours
