Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and select suitable host families and students, ensuring alignment with program needs and cultural compatibility.
• Conduct thorough host family needs assessments, behavioral evaluations, and health and safety compliance checks in accordance with program guidelines.
• Organize community outreach activities, informational sessions, and cultural events to promote program awareness and engagement.
• Manage volunteer and host family placement processes using algorithm matching tools to ensure optimal pairing based on preferences and criteria.
• Serve as a cultural liaison by facilitating communication between families, students, schools, and program staff to foster positive relationships.
• Oversee host family orientation sessions, provide ongoing support, and address any concerns or issues that arise during placements.
• Maintain detailed records of interviews, assessments, community interactions, and client communications to ensure accurate documentation of all activities.

Skills

• Proven experience in high school exchange programs or international volunteer programs.
• Strong background working with culturally diverse communities and understanding of cross-cultural dynamics.
• Excellent community outreach skills with the ability to organize events and engage local stakeholders effectively.
• Knowledge of government-sponsored cultural exchange programs and host family health & safety regulations.
• Skilled in volunteer management, including recruitment, training, and ongoing support of host families.
• Experience as a host family placement specialist or community advisor with expertise in behavioral assessments and needs analysis.
• Proficient in social media communication for outreach campaigns and program promotion.
• Ability to conduct interviews with families and students while assessing their needs using algorithm matching tools.
• Strong client communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Experience in recruiting families for international programs or teaching students from diverse backgrounds is highly desirable.
