Local CDL A Delivery Driver

Bence Michael, a recruiting agency based in Central Florida, is hiring a Local CDL A Delivery Driver for a full-time role with one of our distribution center clients in West Orlando! If you have a valid CDL A license without an automatic transmission restriction, delivery experience, and a strong focus on safety and reliability, we want to hear from you!

DETAILS:

• $23.00 per hour
• Full-time position
• Monday–Friday
• 1st Shift (start time between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM, typically ending by 4:00 PM or when deliveries are completed)
• 1 hour lunch

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate a manual transmission day cab tractor with a 53-foot refrigerated trailer to make local deliveries according to assigned routes
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logbooks
• Assist in the warehouse with tasks such as receiving, stocking, inventory management, and order fulfillment
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as stand-up forklifts and electric rider pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and security.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and no automatic transmission restriction (Restriction E)
• Previous experience as a CDL A driver operating manual transmission commercial trucks, preferably in local delivery
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and traffic laws
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to warehouse operations
• Experience with warehouse duties, such as receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment
• Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklifts and electric rider pallet jacks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Background check
• Drug screening
