Local CDL Truck Driver-Class A

JOB SUMMARY: This person drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailers to transport and deliver raw product and other supplies or materials within weight and ODOT regulations, to and from designated areas, local routes no more than 100 air mile radius.

Work relationships and communications are key ingredients to the success of the individual holding this position. Overtime requirements in this position are common and may be required to meet operational goal.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Have a valid CDL-Class A license and driving records that are acceptable to company insurer.

· Loading, securing, transporting, delivering and unloading raw product or any other supply or material to and from destinations

· Inspects powered truck and trailer in accordance to DOT regulations and company procedures

· Prepares and maintains records in accordance of DOT regulations and company procedures

· Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures, including utilizing proper PPE

· Maintains compliance with all DOT requirements, including driver log

· Assists with field maintenance, moving equipment, loading and unloading trucks

· Must be dependable

· Ensures no injury to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.

· Conducts oneself in a professional manner and ensures appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function while representing the company.

· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to yard and plant maintenance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must have a valid CDL- A

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· Minimum of 1 year of driving experience

· Pass company drive test

· Knowledge of semi-tractor and trailer equipment

· Must be able to communicate in a manner to successfully perform job duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Physically able to lift up to 60 pounds in all-weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.50 per hour
