Local Delivery Driver

Local Delivery Driver – Flatbed & Trailer Innovative Tooling & Accessories, Inc. is a broad-line, business-to-business distributor of pneumatic tools, maintenance, repair, operating supplies and other related products and services.

We are looking for a responsible, self-motivated Local Delivery Driver to deliver products promptly to our customers and pick up product from our vendors. In this role you will drive a Ford F-350 flatbed and regularly tow a 25' gooseneck trailer and a 23' bumper pull trailer, so you must be confident hooking up, loading, securing and maneuvering trailers in city traffic and at customer sites. You will represent our company in a professional manner and provide our customers and vendors with excellent customer service.

Routes start each morning at our warehouse in the Jersey Village area and end here. We deliver throughout the Houston metro area. Hours are typically Monday – Friday, 7:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Equipment You Will Operate

• Ford F-350 flatbed truck
• 25' gooseneck trailer
• 23' bumper pull trailer

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of products to customers and pick up product from vendors throughout the Houston metro area
• Safely operate the F-350 flatbed while towing a 25' gooseneck or 23' bumper pull trailer
• Hook up and unhook trailers correctly, including the gooseneck coupler or bumper hitch, safety chains, breakaway cable and lighting/brake connections
• Load, unload and properly secure cargo using straps, chains and binders
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailers (tires, lights, brakes, hitch) and report any maintenance needs
• Double check packing lists for accuracy on every delivery and pickup
• Plan and route your deliveries and pickups efficiently

Requirements

• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
• Proven experience pulling gooseneck and bumper pull trailers, including backing and maneuvering in tight spaces
• Working knowledge of load securement (straps, chains and binders)
• Previous delivery experience required
• Good driving record
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, managers and co-workers
