Local End-Dump Driver - CDL A

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Local End-Dump Driver with a CDL A license to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating end-dump trucks to transport and deliver bulk materials within local routes, ensuring timely and efficient service. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle various cargo types will contribute significantly to our operational success. This position offers an energetic work environment where your skills in logistics and driving will be valued and rewarded. Weekends are available but not required. Hours of work are 3 AM – 3 PM.

Duties

• Safely operate CDL A end-dump trucks on local delivery routes.
• Secure and unload freight using proper handling techniques and equipment.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries across designated routes.
• Transport various cargo types such as dirt, rocks, grass, sand, and animal feed.
• Comply strictly with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with safety standards.
• Load and unload trucks with precision, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement for safe transportation.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record (Must have 2 years of experience).
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution.
• Experience operating manual-transmission trucks and handling tractor-trailers or end-dump trucks.
• Knowledge of bulk cargo handling and proper loading and unloading procedures.
• Ability to load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety procedures.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and safety compliance standards.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling techniques, and route-driving efficiency.
• Physical ability to handle manual loading and unloading tasks and work in various weather conditions.
