Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Local Shuttle Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating shuttle vehicles to transport passengers and cargo within local routes, ensuring timely and courteous service. Seeking Class A tractor trailer Driver with 12 months or more experience to haul containers

Port shuttle hauling containers to/from ports within 250 miles

Monday-Friday with possible some Saturdays

No touch

Shift Start Times Between 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM depending on load

Shift Length 8 to 12 hours per day

Average Weekly Hours 55 hours

Home Time Daily home time

Duties

• Operate shuttle vehicles, including passenger vans, buses, or limousines, along designated local routes with precision and safety.
• Ensure adherence to all traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and company policies during every trip.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting passengers warmly, assisting with boarding, and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, including checking fuel levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and overall vehicle condition.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, passenger counts, and any incidents or maintenance needs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients via radio or other communication devices to coordinate schedules and relay important information.
• Assist with light manual handling tasks such as loading or unloading cargo or luggage when necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, van driver, chauffeur, or in similar shuttle driving roles.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for buses or limousines).
• Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and local driving routes to ensure efficient navigation.
• Experience with passenger vehicle operation and familiarity with safety protocols related to passenger transportation.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling when required for cargo or luggage management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Knowledge of traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety standards applicable to passenger vehicles.
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills to identify minor issues and ensure vehicle readiness at all times.
• Prior experience in medical transportation or client-focused chauffeur driving is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 55.0 per week
