Localization Specialist

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and culturally aware Localization Specialist to adapt content, products, and digital materials for different languages, markets, and cultural audiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating and reviewing content, ensuring linguistic accuracy, and maintaining consistency across localized materials. Responsibilities include localizing websites, software interfaces, marketing materials, product descriptions, user guides, and other business communications. The role involves reviewing translations for grammar, terminology, tone, cultural relevance, and contextual accuracy while ensuring that content aligns with brand guidelines and target audience expectations. Additional duties include maintaining translation glossaries, managing localization resources, coordinating with translators and content teams, conducting linguistic quality assessments, and identifying opportunities to improve localization workflows. The Localization Specialist will also support functional testing of localized digital products, verify text formatting and layout, resolve language-related issues, and ensure that localized content delivers a consistent user experience. The ideal candidate will combine strong language skills with cultural awareness, analytical thinking, and effective project coordination abilities to help businesses communicate clearly and successfully across international markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Communications, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the relevant working languages.
• Strong understanding of grammar, terminology, cultural nuances, and localization principles.
• Ability to adapt content while preserving its original meaning, tone, and intended purpose.
• Familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools, translation management systems, and terminology databases.
• Understanding of website localization, software localization, and multilingual content workflows.
• Strong proofreading, editing, and linguistic quality assurance skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to consistency and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with translators, designers, developers, and marketing teams.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve linguistic and cultural challenges.
