Localization Technical Program Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Localization Technical Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Transportation space.

This role will guide localization and internationalization initiatives that support product readiness across global markets. You will partner closely with engineering, product, and localization testing teams to ensure language quality, release readiness, and scalable technical workflows. The position blends program leadership with hands-on localization technology administration, making it critical to both execution and cross-functional alignment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $115,000 – $149,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and implement i18n solutions within the development lifecycle
• Define and review product locale behaviors
• Ensure product readiness for RTL languages
• Partner with Localization Testing to support validation and release readiness
• Administer a translation management system, configure workflows and quality settings
• Troubleshoot TMS/API workflows and serve as a technical escalation point
• Lead localization technical programs from planning through release

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in internationalization or localization engineering
• Fluency in a second language preferred, such as German, Japanese, or French
• Deep knowledge of i18n principles and localization technology
• Hands-on experience with Phrase or comparable TMS systems
• Familiarity with localization APIs and technologies including JSON, XML, and REST
• Strong problem-solving and program management skills
