Locksmith

Job Summary
Stratford Glass & Lock is seeking a locksmith to join our growing company. We provide a range of services, from commercial to residential, and full door and frame installations through out Stratford and surrounding area. You will work independently and as part of a small team responding to customer requests and completing service calls at various locations. The successful incumbent will be provided access to company vehicle, and tools. The right candidate will have a minimum of 2 years locksmith experience

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks and locking mechanisms for residential and commercial applications.
• Install residential and commercial handle sets, closers, push bars, and various hardware
• Respond to daytime emergency lockout situations promptly and efficiently.
• Cut keys and create duplicates using provided equipment.
• Install keypad locks and electronic access control systems
• Assess security needs and recommend appropriate locking solutions to clients.
• Install various types of hollow metal doors and frames.
• Keep accurate records of services performed and inventory of keys and locks.
• Stay updated on the latest locksmithing techniques, tools, and technologies.
• Will be trained on various glass works, screen repairs, etc as well from cutting custom orders, thermal window installs, and assistance where needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
• In shop work when required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Locksmith with minimum 2 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of lock types, key cutting techniques, and security systems.
• Experience with both residential and commercial hardware installation.
• Experience with automatic door operators installation and service.
• Ability to troubleshoot lock-related issues effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy equipment as needed.
• Valid G driver's license may be required for mobile locksmith services.
• Must be bondable and insurable.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
• Certification or training in locksmithing is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
