Position Summary

The Locksmith Technician Outside Sales is responsible for providing professional locksmith services at customer locations while generating sales through service calls, approved upselling, and excellent customer service. This role requires technical locksmith skills, safe driving practices, and strong communication while representing the company as a front-facing professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform residential, commercial, and automotive locksmith services including lock installation, rekeying, repairs, key cutting, and emergency lockouts
• Respond to dispatched service calls promptly and professionally
• Generate sales through service calls by identifying customer needs and offering approved solutions
• Accurately quote services and obtain customer authorization before performing work
• Collect payments and ensure proper documentation of completed jobs
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, inventory, and sales equipment in good condition
• Follow all Texas locksmith regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Maintain accurate daily sales reports, invoices, and service logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers
• Uphold company standards for appearance, professionalism, and customer service

Sales Expectations

• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
• Promote company services ethically and transparently
• Avoid high-pressure or misleading sales practices

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Ability to obtain or maintain required Texas locksmith registration/licensing
• Previous locksmith experience preferred (training may be provided)
• Strong customer service and sales skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic math, payment handling, and mobile device proficiency
• Must successfully pass a background check with no disqualifying criminal history.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred and considered a strong asset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in varying environments
• Ability to drive for extended periods

Compensation

• Hourly base pay in compliance with Texas minimum wage laws
• Commission based on approved sales structure
• Overtime paid in accordance with FLSA

Work Schedule

• Full-time; flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required

Pay: $100.00 - $250.00 per day
