About York Lock & Key

York Lock & Key is an established Miami Beach locksmith shop serving residential, commercial, and property management customers across South Florida. We're looking for a motivated, mechanically inclined person to learn the locksmith trade. No experience needed. We will train you! Starting pay depends on experience, with pay increases as you learn.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Mix of in-shop work and service calls.

What you'll learn and do

• Cut and duplicate keys, including high-security and transponder keys
• Rekey, pin, and master key lock cylinders
• Install and repair door hardware: deadbolts, mortise locks, exit devices, door closers
• Assist on service calls: lockouts, lock changes, and commercial door repairs
• Help customers at the counter and keep the shop organized
• Learn safes, access control, and electronic locks as you grow

Who we're looking for

• Mechanically inclined and good with your hands
• Reliable, on time, and eager to learn a trade
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Prior locksmith, carpentry, or hardware experience is a plus, but not required
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, use ladders, and work outdoors in South Florida heat
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a background check

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
