Job Overview
Kelatic Hair Lounge Loc Academy is seeking motivated, disciplined, and passionate individuals who are serious about building a long-term career in the loc industry. This position begins as a paid/unpaid training role (based on experience) and transitions into a certified loctician position at Kelatic Hair Lounge upon successful completion.

Trainees will undergo 4–6 weeks of hands-on, structured training led by Kelatic’s Master Locticians. Upon certification, trainees will be eligible to work directly with Kelatic Hair Lounge clients under Kelatic standards, systems, and culture.

This is not a hobby class—this is a professional pipeline into employment.

Training Phase (4–6 Weeks)

During the training period, trainees will learn and demonstrate proficiency in:

Technical Skills

• Starter locs (comb coils, two-strand twists, instant locs)
• Retwists (palm roll, interlocking basics)
• Loc maintenance & scalp health
• Loc repair (basic reconstruction & reinforcement)
• Proper product usage (Kelatic-approved products only)
• Sectioning, parting, and symmetry
• Sanitation, safety, and state board compliance

Professional Standards

• Client consultation & communication
• Time management & service flow
• Salon etiquette & professionalism
• Brand representation & energy-based service
• Understanding Kelatic pricing, policies, and booking systems
• Team collaboration & walk-in rotation etiquette
• Business & Brand Education
• Kelatic Hair Lounge culture & expectations

Certification Requirements

To become Kelatic Certified, trainees must:

• Complete the full 4–6 week training program
• Demonstrate consistency, professionalism, and skill mastery
• Pass a hands-on practical evaluation
• Follow all Kelatic rules, policies, and training protocols
• Sign required agreements (NDA, contract, non-solicitation)
• Client retention & reviews
• Upselling services responsibly
• Social media professionalism (what is allowed vs prohibited)
• Confidentiality & client protection

Post-Certification Employment

Upon certification, trainees may transition into a Kelatic Hair Lounge Loctician role, which includes:

• Commission-based pay structure
• Assigned work schedule and rotation
• Access to Kelatic clientele
• Continued mentorship and skill development
• Opportunities for growth, bonuses, and leadership roles
• Eligibility for advanced Kelatic education & specialty services

This Position Is NOT For Individuals Who:

• Want to “just learn and leave”
• Are unwilling to follow structure or rules
• Plan to take clients independently during or after training
• Are inconsistent, unreliable, or resistant to feedback

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
