Logistic and Inventory Controller

PRINCIPAL / JOB PURPOSE

The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring timely availability of all materials, components, and supplies required for production. The role manages material planning, inventory control, and coordination with Procurement, Production, and Supply Chain teams to avoid shortages, minimize excess inventory, ensure smooth production flow and maintain quality standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Develop and maintain material requirements plans to support production schedules

· Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and outsourced inputs, including for subcontracted, offline, and specialized processes such as die-cutting, embossing, and stamping

· Monitor inventory levels, consumption, and lead times to prevent shortages or overstock

· Coordinate with Supply Chain team to align purchase orders with production needs

· Maintain accurate inventory records for all materials

· Track material usage, variances, and forecast future requirements based on production trends

· Collaborate with Production Planner and Production teams to address material shortages, delays, or quality issues

· Support ERP implementation and utilization for material tracking, reporting, and planning

· Join in the regular cycle counts, audits, and stock reconciliations

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow, reduce waste, and improve inventory accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

· 3+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or production support preferably in luxury packaging, printing, or rigid box manufacturing

· Experience with ERP systems, MRP, and inventory tracking.

· Knowledge of specialized finishing processes such as die-cutting, embossing, and stamping

· Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process optimization
