About the role

We are seeking a Logistic Assistant to join our team in Alor Setar, Kedah on a full-time basis. This is a crucial operational position within our warehousing and distribution facility, where you will play an essential role in supporting the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. As a Logistic Assistant, you will be at the heart of our daily logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively, shipments are processed accurately, and our customers receive their orders on time. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your logistics expertise and contribute directly to the success of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving and checking incoming goods against delivery documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Organising and storing inventory in designated warehouse locations following established procedures
• Picking and packing orders accurately to fulfil customer requests in a timely manner
• Labelling packages and preparing shipments for dispatch to customers
• Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements and warehouse transactions
• Assisting with stock counts and inventory audits to ensure records are correct
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner
• Supporting the warehouse team in maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Liaising with drivers and logistics coordinators to ensure timely collection and delivery of goods
• Identifying and reporting discrepancies or damaged goods to management promptly

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to process information accurately and efficiently
• Physical fitness and willingness to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving goods
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems or basic computer literacy is advantageous
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in warehouse environments is beneficial
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Relevant certifications such as forklift operation or manual handling qualifications would strengthen your application
