Logistic Assistant/Executive (Shipping)

Job Responsibilities

• Liaise with BUM on customer PO or Sales order for shipment preparation.
• Liaise with forwarders for shipment booking based on Sales orders/customer's PO committed delivery date.
• Co-ordinate / Co-operate with the Warehouse team by delivering shipment information for pick, pack, and loading.
• To prepare and manage all import & export shipping documents including but not limited to invoices, packing list delivery orders, etc
• Verify and confirm import/ export shipments' bill of lading, airway bill, and consignment notes.
• Liaise and coordinate with Forwarding Agents for import & export operation arrangements eg. Custom Declaration, FTA application, any COO application, etc, and ensure compliance with Custom Rules & Regulations.
• Provide complete shipping documents (Invoice, packing list, delivery order, bill of lading, AWB /CN) to the Business Unit Department once the shipment delivered / on board.
• Liaise and coordinate with Forwarding Agents for import & export documentation and operation arrangement.
• Check and verify shipment customs declaration to ensure compliance with Custom Rules & Regulations.
• Manage application and renewal of LMW license and ensure fulfillment of LMW requirements
• Prepare an accurate monthly and yearly report for submission to the LMW Customs Officer in a timely manner.
• Perform compliance audits on permits and forms associated with the LMW regulations.
• Prepare and update comprehensive documentation of LMW operating procedures and compliance when needed.
• Manage internal and external parties to ensure smooth execution of shipments (Import, Export, and Local).
• Coordinate with the principal on the readiness of goods and to arrange shipment. Sourcing & comparing freight charges for the best price in order to maintain shipping budget and cost.
• Application of required permit eg. Temporary importation, Carnet shipment, MIDA exemption, Form D and required importation permit for special item.

Job Requirements

• SPM / STPM / Certificate / Diploma or equivalent or above
• Fresh graduates are welcomed, or minimum 3 working years’ experience in manufacturing Shipping or Logistics
• Proficient in both spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Familiar with Malaysia Customs operations and related regulations
• Familiar with Shipping Incoterms
• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
