• 2D layout of logistics and assembly areas.
• 2D layout of shelves structure.
• Definition of replenishment logic.
• Takt time analysis between picking and assembly lines. Design of Containers and Logistics Equipment Includes everything needed to store and transport materials.
• Design of picking and kitting trolleys and transportation method (Tugger train).
• Design of custom metal racks, packaging, pallet standards.
• Ergonomic analysis of picking and maximum weight for operators.
• Definition of number and type of forklifts or other equipment. Assembly Line Optimization Collaboration with manufacturing engineering to define:
• Minimum space for materials.
• Shelves height and ergonomic distances.
• Reduction of WIP and line inventory. Cost Reduction and Continuous Improvement Projects
• Reduction of line inventory.
• Reduction of custom container costs.
• Improvement of supplier packaging and delivery.
• Decanting activities reduction.
