  • Ensure materials are transported safely and appropriately to minimise damage, loss, and wastage.
  • Coordinate the movement of heavy equipment, machinery, scaffolding, formwork, and other construction assets where required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics movements and confirm receipt of delivered materials with the relevant site representatives.
  1. Fleet and Vehicle Management
  • Oversee the utilisation, maintenance, servicing, and operational readiness of company vehicles and logistics equipment.
  • Maintain an updated fleet register covering vehicle details, assigned drivers, registration documents, insurance, maintenance schedules, and operating status.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules to reduce vehicle breakdowns and unplanned repair costs.
  • Monitor vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance expenditure, and driver performance.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly inspected before deployment and that statutory documentation remains valid.
  • Coordinate vehicle allocation based on operational priorities and project requirements.
  • Ensure drivers comply with company policies, road safety regulations, approved routes, and vehicle usage procedures.
  • Investigate vehicle misuse, accidents, unauthorised trips, excessive fuel consumption, and avoidable repair costs.
  • Coordinate the engagement of third-party transporters and haulage companies when internal fleet capacity is insufficient.
  1. Route Planning and Delivery Coordination
  • Develop efficient transportation routes and delivery schedules to minimise travel time and logistics costs.
  • Coordinate dispatch activities and ensure vehicles are assigned according to the urgency, volume, destination, and nature of the cargo.
  • Monitor delivery timelines and communicate anticipated delays to relevant stakeholders.

  1. Logistics Cost Control and Reporting
  • Prepare logistics budgets, transportation forecasts, and periodic expenditure reports.
  • Monitor fuel expenses, vehicle maintenance costs, haulage charges, loading and offloading costs, and other logistics-related expenditure.
  • Investigate unusual cost variations, excessive fuel consumption, duplicate charges, and unauthorised transportation expenses.
  • Establish controls for trip authorisation, fuel issuance, vehicle allocation, and logistics payments.
  • Analyse logistics performance data and recommend improvements in vehicle utilisation, delivery efficiency, and resource allocation.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering deliveries, fleet utilisation, vehicle downtime, logistics expenditure, vendor performance, and operational challenges.
  • Ensure all logistics transactions are properly documented and comply with the Group's approval procedures.
  1. Interdepartmental and Group Operations Coordination
  • Coordinate logistics requirements across construction, real estate, facilities, furniture, technology, and other business units within the Group.
  • Support the movement of office equipment, furniture, machinery, operational supplies, and other company assets.
