Logistic Officer

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating and overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within the warehouse facility

• Managing inventory levels and conducting regular stock checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of records

• Preparing and processing shipping and logistics documentation including bills of lading, delivery notes and manifests

• Liaising with suppliers, customers and transport providers to arrange and track shipments

• Monitoring warehouse operations and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs

• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations within the warehouse

• Using warehouse management systems and logistics software to track shipments and maintain accurate records

• Assisting with the planning and scheduling of deliveries and collection routes

• Resolving logistics-related issues and queries in a timely and professional manner

• Supporting the logistics team with general administrative tasks and reporting requirements

What we're looking for

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience working in a logistics, warehousing or distribution environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Strong proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software platforms
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Solid understanding of logistics operations, inventory management and supply chain processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the warehousing and distribution industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
