Logistic Supervisor

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and distribution centre operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules
• Manage and direct warehouse staff, including recruiting, training, scheduling and performance management
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management through regular audits and reconciliation
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring proper handling and documentation
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across all warehouse operations
• Coordinate with other departments to optimise logistics workflows and identify process improvements
• Maintain detailed records of warehouse activities, shipments, and inventory transactions
• Manage and resolve operational issues and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor vehicle and equipment maintenance to minimise downtime and operational disruptions
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices within the warehouse

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics or distribution management
• Proven experience supervising and managing teams in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management systems and distribution processes
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements in warehouse operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties and walk the warehouse floor regularly
• A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management or warehouse operations is advantageous
