Logistics Account Executive

You already know how to sell freight. At Skyline you sell it with our own fleet behind every quote, you keep every account you win, and your commission has no cap.

$3,000 to $5,000 a month base, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission on gross margin. In our North Austin office Monday through Thursday, Fridays from home.

Why this seat is different

• You sell capacity we control. Skyline is a family-owned, asset-based carrier and brokerage. Since 2004 we've run our own fleet of more than 150 tractors and trailers, hauling reefer, flatbed and dry van in all 48 states. When you quote a lane, you know what our trucks can do.
• Your book stays yours. No house accounts, and nobody takes a shipper from you when it gets big.
• You sell, we cover. Our carrier sales team covers your loads, starting with our own fleet, and dispatch handles tracking.
• Your shippers get a real portal. Our in-house TMS gives every customer a login with live tracking on a map, driver name and phone, and invoices that come with the POD attached.
• Your rate grows with you. Commission is paid on gross margin, and your rate goes up as your monthly margin grows.
• You're on a small Austin team, not one seat on a sales floor of hundreds.

What you'll do

• Build a book with manufacturers, distributors, food and beverage companies and data center and project shippers.
• Quote lanes, take tenders and be the person your shippers call.
• Grow every account lane by lane.

What we're looking for

• At least one year selling freight (brokerage, 3PL or carrier sales), or two or more years of quota-carrying B2B sales.
• Carrier sales reps ready to move to the customer side: this is the move.
• You live in or near Austin and are authorized to work in the United States. We don't offer relocation or visa sponsorship.
• Nice to have: reefer or flatbed experience, Spanish, and no non-solicit restrictions from a past employer.

The details

Full-time, in our North Austin office Monday through Thursday with Fridays from home, plus quarterly trips to our Vancouver, Washington office. This is not a remote role. Pay is $3,000 to $5,000 a month ($36,000 to $60,000 a year) depending on experience, plus uncapped commission.
