Logistics Accounting Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting operations of a fast-paced transportation and freight brokerage company. This position focuses on accurately processing carrier and vendor invoices, verifying freight documentation, resolving payment discrepancies, and ensuring carriers and vendors are paid accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with large volumes of documentation, and able to communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, operations, and other internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process carrier and vendor invoices.
• Verify invoices against rate confirmations, PODs, BOLs, and other shipment documentation.
• Confirm approved accessorial charges and additional freightrelated expenses.
• Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate payment and vendor records.
• Assist with carrier statements, payment inquiries, and monthend accounting tasks.
• Maintain organized and confidential financial records.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts payable, accounting, transportation, or logistics experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of invoices and documentation.
• Strong communication and problemsolving skills.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience.
