  • Qualify and set up new carriers in accordance with company requirements
  • Evaluate carrier performance based on service, reliability, and cost
  • File freight claims for lost or damaged shipments and gather the documentation needed to pursue full reimbursement

  • Conform to applicable Quality Management System requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Collaboration & Professional Support

  • Maintain dependable attendance and reliable follow-through
  • Communicate clearly with carriers, brokers, branch teams, and other departments
  • Address transportation and shipping issues quickly and professionally
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Maintain a positive, helpful approach and assist others when needed
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and work ethic

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • Two to four years of shipping or logistics experience in a distribution environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of domestic freight, transportation modes, carriers, and brokers
  • Experience with international shipping documentation, freight billing, or claims preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as a team member
  • Professional judgment, integrity, and a strong work ethic

Onboarding & Development
