Logistics and Packaging Engineer (Automotive)

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Flow & Packaging Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on warehouse flow, handling equipment, and packaging systems to ensure safe, efficient, and damage-free operations.
• Packaging Design & Standardization: Develop cost-effective, reusable packaging (wooden crates, cartons, returnable containers) that protect parts, optimize logistics, and align with production and shipment requirements.
• Line Feeding & Sequencing: Define and implement kitting, sequencing, and line-side delivery methods that guarantee uninterrupted production.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and Kaizen initiatives to enhance warehouse and assembly line performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Production, Planning, and Logistics teams to integrate flow, packaging, and supply chain strategies seamlessly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Logistics Engineering, or related field.
• Good command of Chinese and English.
• Experience 5 years in material handling, warehouse engineering, or packaging design within automotive/OEM or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Strong proficiency in operation systems, lean material flow design, packaging optimization, and leading cross-functional improvement projects.
• In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, trade compliance, and packaging/transportation standards.
• Skilled in ensuring data accuracy, and generating performance reports for decision-making.
• Deep understanding of workplace safety standards and ergonomic best practices in warehouse and production environments.
