logistics assistant

We are looking for a Logistics Warehouse Assistant to join our warehouse operations team. You will support the day-to-day handling of goods, including receiving, checking, picking, packing, storage and preparation for delivery.

The role requires someone who is reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious, with good attention to detail. Experience in handling wine, beverages or other FMCG products will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform picking and packing of goods according to customer orders and delivery requirements.
• Receive, unload and store incoming goods in their designated warehouse locations.
• Check incoming and outgoing goods for quantity, product condition and accuracy.
• Handle and prepare wine, beverage and other FMCG products for storage and delivery.
• Ensure goods are properly packed, labelled and secured to prevent damage during transportation.
• Prepare goods and relevant documentation for delivery and dispatch.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required.
• Conduct regular stock checks and inventory counts, and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and follow established warehouse procedures.
• Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Operate a forklift safely when required.
• Assist with other general warehouse and logistics duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Forklift licence is required.
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred.
• Experience handling wine, beverages, FMCG or similar products will be an added advantage.
• Comfortable with manual handling, lifting and moving goods as required.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and warehouse procedures.
• Hardworking, reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude towards work.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good safety awareness and willingness to follow workplace safety requirements.
