LOGISTICS ASSISTANT

Key Responsibilities

Trip and Delivery Coordination

• Prepare and manage the daily trip schedule for company vehicles and drivers.
• Assign drivers and vehicles for point-to-point deliveries and pickups.
• Monitor trip progress and ensure deliveries are completed on time.
• Coordinate urgent or special delivery requests as needed.

Driver Communication and Support

• Maintain constant communication with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and delivery updates.
• Provide instructions and support to drivers during daily operations.
• Address and escalate transportation issues, delays, or emergencies to the Logistics Officer.

Logistics Operations Management

• Track delivery status and update records in the logistics system or monitoring sheets.
• Ensure proper documentation of delivery receipts, trip tickets, fuel records, and vehicle logs.
• Assist in route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
• Monitor vehicle availability and coordinate maintenance schedules with the Logistics Officer.

Coordination and Reporting

• Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams regarding delivery schedules and order status.
• Prepare daily and weekly logistics reports, including trip performance and delivery completion rates.
• Maintain organized records of deliveries, drivers, and transportation activities.
