LOGISTICS ASSISTANT (freight forwarding)

About the role

We are looking for a Logistics Assistant with experience in the freight forwarding industry to support daily logistics and shipment operations. The role will assist in coordinating shipments, preparing documents, monitoring cargo movement, and communicating with clients, suppliers, and logistics partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating import and export shipments.
• Monitor shipment schedules, cargo status, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and organize shipping and logistics documents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, trucking companies, and clients.
• Assist in processing shipping, customs, and delivery-related documents.
• Follow up on shipment status and provide updates to concerned parties.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and logistics transactions.
• Assist in resolving shipment delays and other operational concerns.
• Ensure timely and accurate encoding of shipment information.
• Perform other logistics and administrative tasks as assigned.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the freight forwarding industry.
• Familiarity with import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
