Logistics Assistant Manager (Equipment Control)

Position Summary :

• The Logistics Assistant Manager is responsible for managing MSC Thailand's inland logistics network, ensuring efficient container flow, depot operations, ICD coordination, trucking performance, equipment availability, and logistics process optimization. The role oversees logistics service providers and drives operational efficiency, cost control, KPI achievement, and continuous improvement across the logistics network.

Key Responsibility :

• Manage daily logistics activities to ensure seamless equipment flow across Thailand.
• Develop and implement logistics solutions to support commercial and customer service requirements.
• Optimize container positioning and equipment utilization.
• Identify and implement logistics best practices and process improvements.
• Ensure logistics partners comply with MSC policies, guidelines, and service requirements
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for logistics issues.
• Monitor logistics performance and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Lead logistics projects to improve service quality and reduce operating costs.
• Oversee operational performance of 10 depots and 8 ICDs nationwide.
• Manage and coordinate performance of more than 15 trucking companies.
• Support procurement and logistics management to manager.
• Lead internal communications and prepare presentations on performance metrics and program updates.
• Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation and solution plans.
• Drive digitalization and logistics process automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business development, field support, and customer service.
• Monitor team performance and improve job efficiency through performance management, coaching, and process optimization.
• Lead projects to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
