Logistics Co-Ordinator

We’re a group of companies operating in the horticulture industry.  We specialise in the growing, marketing and distribution of fresh produce.  This role is based on site at our head office, sales and distribution centre based in Mangere, Auckland. The purpose of this role is to ensure the sales and marketing team meet international and domestic orders supporting the movement, distribution and storage of product. 

About the role:

·         Assisting sales team with planning and orchestrating the end to end process of internal and external freight to domestic and international destinations.

·         Co-ordinate requirements to our site Managers/ growers advising of deadlines and production targets.

·         Plan routes and process shipments in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

·         Communicate with Document and Compliance Manager for documentation and QC requirements.

·         Ensure that best industry practice tracking of goods is maintained.

·         Research ideal shipping lines, airlines as well as routing and carrier requirements to optimise shipping and transport procedures.

·         Track external freight and location of products.

This role will suit you if you have:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or relevant field

·         A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar industry and role

·         Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software

·         Computer literate and quick to pick up new systems and applications

·         High level of analytical, problem solving and organisation abilities

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Highly organised and able to manage high workloads and meet deadlines on a daily basis

·         Customer focussed (internal and external)

·         Desire to perform in a team environment with a positive, can-do, willing and adaptable attitude
