Job Description

West Logistics is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support transportation, shipment scheduling, inventory coordination, and daily logistics operations in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will coordinate deliveries, track shipments, maintain accurate records, and communicate with carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal teams to help ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills, can manage multiple priorities, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment schedules, pickups, deliveries, and transportation arrangements.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to relevant parties.
• Communicate with carriers, vendors, customers, and warehouse personnel.
• Maintain accurate shipping documents, delivery records, and logistics reports.
• Monitor shipment delays and help resolve transportation or scheduling issues.
• Verify shipment details, order information, and delivery documentation.
• Support inventory coordination and warehouse scheduling.
• Update transportation management systems and internal databases.
• Assist with freight invoices and review shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Follow company procedures and applicable transportation requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is beneficial.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
• Ability to track multiple shipments and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal departments.
• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, or supply chain coordination is preferred.
