Start your career in logistics - no industry experience required. Itochu Logistics USA is hiring an Entry-Level Logistics Coordinator to join our Truck Division. You’ll work directly with our carrier sales and operations leads, supporting daily shipment activity and learning the transportation industry from the ground up.

This is a hands-on role with training provided. We’re looking for someone dependable, organized, and willing to ask questions, learn, and take on more responsibility as they develop.

What you’ll do

Track and trace shipments, confirm pickup and delivery status, and communicate updates.

Build loads in our transportation management system and keep shipment details accurate. Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and coordinate scheduling updates.

Communicate with carriers, drivers, and customers by phone and email.

Collect and organize shipment paperwork, including proof of delivery and documents needed for billing.

Assist with billing, invoice processing, and other finance-related administrative tasks.

Help identify delays, missing paperwork, and other shipment issues, working with the team to resolve them.

Support our carrier sales and operations leads with day-to-day administrative responsibilities.

Who we’re looking for

A willingness to take feedback, ask questions, and learn.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

No previous logistics experience is required. Recent graduates and candidates starting a new career are encouraged to apply.

Training and growth

You’ll begin by learning the operational and administrative responsibilities that keep shipments moving. As you develop, you’ll gain exposure to both carrier sales and operations.

Over time, there may be an opportunity to move into a dedicated role in either area, based on your interests, performance, readiness, and business needs.

Location and compensation

This is a full-time position based in our Wood Dale, Illinois office, with working hours of 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Daily in-office attendance is required; remote and hybrid arrangements are not available. Starting salary is $45,000-$50,000 annually. Our target start date is January 4, 2027.
