Logistics Coordinator (Freight Costing & CKD)

HR Responsibilities : This position will work closely with the team to support FTA privileges and new project specification requirements. Teamwork is essential to support the whole team in AOC and Bangkok. Communication with internal and external departments and a service-minded approach are required.

Knowledge responsibilities :

• At least 3 years of experience in Import-Export, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience in the automotive industry (manufacturer); FTA experience will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of FTA processes for local content, customs regulations, and post-audit requirements.
• Good command of written and spoken English and PC literacy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge and experience in customs formalities, especially in the IEAT Free Zone.
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels.

Functional responsibilities :

1. Provide effective logistics solutions to support the Sales Team, Purchasing Team, 5 Pillars, and Paint Business in order to meet customer requirements.
2. Increase logistics efficiency, develop cost-effective transportation, reduce the total logistics cost-to-revenue ratio, and increase customer satisfaction.
3. Review and establish working processes between Logistics and other departments, and seek better coordination to obtain the documents required for logistics processes, reduce lead time, and eliminate redundant work between departments.
4. Control suppliers' Certificate of Origin (C/O) timelines for new and renewed certificates, and verify tariff classifications by correctly classifying the HS codes of all products under Free Trade Agreements.
5. Collect information concerning import-export and FTA policies, regulations, and operating procedures, then communicate relevant changes and provide guidance within the company when necessary.
6. Deliver solutions for new logistics projects or operational problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
7. Assess and make recommendations on logistics processes for potential new projects or the Paint Business, and advise on cost implications and efficiency.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all parties involved in logistics processes.
9. Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor to ensure continuous improvement in meeting customers' increasing expectations.
11. Undertake other job assignments as required.

• Coordinate and support all RMA Group business units regarding logistics requirements, including:

  • Project studies.
  • Shipping arrangements.
  • Freight and transportation costs.
  • Logistics solutions.

• Provide logistics solutions and options to all RMA divisions, including Purchasing, Sales, After Sales, 5 Pillars, Engineering, and Planning.

• Prepare shipping documents and provide shipping instructions to carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents for issuing Bills of Lading (B/L), Air Waybills (AWB), and other required documents.

• Supervise subordinates to ensure smooth operations and the required service standards are achieved.

External Interactions:

• Coordinate and establish relationships with government authorities, such as the Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), IEAT, Customs Authorities, and the Ministry of Commerce, as required.
• Negotiate freight rates with freight forwarders and shipping agents to minimize freight costs.
• Liaise with freight forwarders and shipping agents to move goods via designated routes.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers to ensure merchandise is shipped according to delivery requirements.
• Book space with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and shipping agents for airfreight, sea freight, and trucking shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents and provide shipping instructions to carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents for issuing B/L, AWB, and all required documents.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and arrange customs formalities for both import and export shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents, such as invoices, packing lists, and other export documents, including Form D, Form C/O, etc.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and/or insurance brokers to arrange insurance coverage for import and export shipments.
