Logistics Coordinator - PM Shift

We are seeking a dependable and proactive Overnight Operations Coordinator to oversee

and support overnight transportation operations. This role is responsible for ensuring

freight moves efficiently outside of standard business hours by monitoring active

shipments, coordinating with carriers and customers, managing load updates, and

addressing operational issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor overnight shipment activity and ensure all active loads are properly tracked.

• Respond promptly to inbound customer and carrier phone calls and emails.

• Book freight with qualified carriers while ensuring service expectations are met.

• Bid on available spot market opportunities when applicable.

• Accept or reject freight tenders according to customer requirements and

operational guidelines.

• Escalate shipment delays, service failures, or carrier issues to customers and

internal stakeholders as needed.

• Maintain accurate shipment updates within the Transportation Management System

(TMS).

• Identify and resolve operational issues before they impact service.

• Develop a thorough understanding of each customer's shipping patterns and

operational expectations.

• Collaborate with dispatch, customer service, and operations teams to ensure

smooth transitions between shifts.

• Maintain detailed shift notes and communicate critical updates to the daytime

operations team.

• Follow established company policies, processes, and service standards while

contributing to continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, or supply chain

operations preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

simultaneously
