Logistics Customer Service Representative

B&B Transportation is an exclusive, full service global logistics agency representing Landstar Systems Inc. (http://www.landstar.com/) We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with an aptitude for customer service and a focused attention to detail. Nearly all interactions with customers and logistics service providers will be via phone and email. Excellent verbal and written skills are key. You will be given existing accounts and obtain new accounts once training is completed. Ability to multi-task and prioritize is highly important. You will be expected to maintain accounts by securing freight shipments and arranging transportation via company equipment and / or partner carrier capacity. Salary + uncapped commission.

Monday-Friday 0800-1700

Responsibilities and Duties include (not limited to):

Answering Phones

Calling drivers to secure coverage on shipments

Scheduling shipment

Freight posting

Working multiple different TMS plateforms

Verifying pickups and deliveries to provide updates and obtain paperwork

REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Computer Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

Positive and professional attitude

Preferred Skills:

Logistics and sales experience

Familiarity with government, hazmat, OD/Heavy Haul, and/or port shipment requirements and procedures

Knowledge of rate negotiation and carrier communication

Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

Knowledge of Shipping Documents and Logistics Terms
