LOGISTICS EXECUTIVE

About the role

Officer / Executive - Shipping & Logistics role focused on import/export and customs operations within manufacturing, transport and logistics. The position involves managing import documentation, coordinating shipping and logistics activities, liaising with vendors and internal teams, and maintaining records and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain import shipping documents such as Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Certificate, and Import Licenses / Permits (if applicable)
• Ensure all documents comply with customs regulations, trade laws, and company policies
• Coordinate with customs brokers/clearing agents for smooth customs clearance
• Track import shipments and update internal teams on shipment status
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and transporters
• Monitor vessel schedules, ETAs, delays, and documentation cut-off dates
• Arrange delivery of goods from port/airport to warehouse
• Liaise with overseas suppliers for timely receipt of correct shipping documents
• Communicate with finance/accounts team for duty payments, freight invoices, and reconciliation
• Maintain accurate records of import shipments and documentation

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or similar qualification
• Computer literate with knowledge in JD Edwards Software (added advantage)
• At least 1-3 years working experience (knowledge in Trading is an added advantage)
• Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
