1. Job Purpose

To manage the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation, material dispatch, delivery schedules, and logistics documentation to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of materials.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily dispatches of steel products and other materials.
• Arrange vehicles and coordinate with transporters, drivers, and suppliers.
• Prepare and verify delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, LR/GR, and other dispatch documents.
• Monitor vehicle movement and ensure timely delivery of materials to customers.
• Coordinate with the production, stores, sales, purchase, and accounts departments.
• Maintain records of dispatches, transportation costs, vehicle details, and proof of delivery.
• Follow up with transporters regarding vehicle availability, freight rates, and delivery status.
• Ensure proper loading, unloading, material handling, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Verify material quantity, weight, and dispatch details against orders and documents.
• Resolve transportation delays, delivery discrepancies, and customer complaints.
• Track logistics expenses and identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics and dispatch reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable transport regulations, e-way bill requirements, and company procedures.
• Maintain good coordination with customers, transporters, and internal departments.

3. Required Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; a qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Commerce is preferred.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or supply chain operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, email, and ERP software.
• Knowledge of e-way bills, GST invoices, delivery challans, and transport documentation.

4. Required Skills

• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Good planning, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Accuracy in documentation and record keeping.
• Ability to manage multiple dispatches and meet delivery deadlines.
• Knowledge of steel materials, vehicle loading, and industrial logistics is an advantage.

5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• On-time delivery percentage.
• Accuracy of dispatch documentation.
• Transportation cost per shipment.
• Vehicle utilization and availability.
• Number of delivery delays and complaints.
• Timely submission of logistics reports.

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
