Logistics Executive

• Arrange and coordinate vehicles for the dispatch of finished goods, including MS, GI, GP, and HR pipes, as applicable.
• Coordinate with transporters and ensure timely vehicle placement as per dispatch requirements.
• Prepare daily dispatch and vehicle planning schedules in coordination with the Sales, Production, and Dispatch Departments.
• Monitor vehicle loading, unloading, transit status, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure proper preparation and verification of invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans, LR/GR, and other transportation documents.
• Coordinate with the Accounts Department for freight bills, transporter payments, and freight reconciliation.
• Negotiate transportation rates with transporters and ensure cost-effective freight management.
• Track vehicle movements and follow up with transporters and customers to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain records of vehicle details, freight charges, dispatch quantities, delivery status, and transporter performance.
• Handle transportation delays, vehicle shortages, delivery issues, and transit-related complaints.
• Verify transporter bills against approved freight rates and actual dispatch details.
• Ensure proper coordination between Sales, Stores, Production, Accounts, and Dispatch teams.
• Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities to reduce transportation expenses.
• Ensure compliance with applicable transportation rules, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics and dispatch MIS reports.

3. Technical Skills Required

• Knowledge of transportation and logistics management.
• Experience in vehicle placement and transporter coordination.
• Knowledge of e-way bills, LR/GR, invoices, and delivery challans.
• Understanding of freight calculation, freight negotiation, and transporter bill verification.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/SAP systems.
• Strong follow-up, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidates with experience in logistics, transportation, and dispatch operations in manufacturing or steel industries will be preferred.
• Experience handling bulk material and steel pipe transportation will be an added advantage.
• Should have strong negotiation and transporter management skills.
• Must be capable of handling multiple dispatches and coordinating with different departments efficiently.
