Logistics Executive, Logistic engineer

Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Logistics professional to manage and coordinate the movement of goods, transportation activities, shipment tracking, vendor coordination, logistics cost control, and day-to-day logistics operations. The candidate should have strong knowledge of transportation and warehouse operations with good coordination and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track the movement of goods through various logistics and transportation channels.
• Execute logistics plans to ensure timely movement and delivery of products/materials.
• Coordinate with transporters, logistics vendors, warehouse teams, suppliers, and customers for smooth operations.
• Finalize and review freight rates and transportation costs to achieve cost-effective logistics operations.
• Monitor transportation performance, delivery schedules, vehicle placement, and shipment status.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports related to transportation, freight costs, shipments, deliveries, and logistics performance.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Ensure proper handling and movement of materials while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Purchase, Warehouse, Production, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service.
• Resolve transportation delays, delivery issues, material shortages, damages, and customer/vendor complaints.
• Manage transporter and logistics vendor performance and maintain effective vendor relationships.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities and ensure timely dispatches.
• Maintain proper logistics documentation and records.
• Coordinate with CHA agents, freight forwarders, and customs-related agencies for import/export shipments, wherever applicable.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics efficiency, transportation cost, delivery performance, and service quality.

Candidate Profile

• B.TECH/B.E./MBA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in Logistics / Transportation / Supply Chain Operations.
• Experience in managing transporters, logistics vendors, shipments, and delivery schedules.
• Strong coordination and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of logistics documentation, MIS reporting, and cost control.
• Experience with SAP/ERP systems will be an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in manufacturing, FMCG, automotive, engineering, or industrial logistics will be preferred.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
