Logistics Lead

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and coordinate daily logistics activities, including inbound shipments, outbound shipments, local delivery, export shipments, and material movement.
2. Handle and coordinate customs clearance for import and export shipments to ensure timely release and delivery of goods.
3. Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping and customs documents, including delivery orders, invoices, packing lists, shipping instructions, permits, K1/K2 forms, customs declarations, tax exemption documents, and other related records.
4. Liaise with customs officers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, transporters, courier service providers, and relevant government authorities on shipment and clearance matters.
5. Monitor shipment schedules and customs clearance status to ensure goods are delivered on time to customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
6. Ensure all import and export shipments comply with customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, customer requirements, and company procedures.
7. Resolve customs declaration issues, HS code clarification, duty/tax matters, permit applications, shipment delays, delivery discrepancies, and documentation issues.
8. Work closely with Planning, Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Forwarders to ensure smooth logistics execution.
9. Monitor logistics costs, freight charges, delivery performance, shipment accuracy, and service provider performance.
10. Support inventory control activities by ensuring accurate material movement, stock transfer, and system updates.
11. Supervise logistics team members and provide guidance to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
12. Identify operational gaps and support improvement activities to enhance delivery efficiency, cost control, customs compliance, and documentation accuracy.
13. Ensure proper housekeeping, safety compliance, and discipline within logistics and warehouse areas.
14. Maintain proper records of shipping documents, customs documents, permits, declarations, freight charges, and clearance reports for audit and compliance purposes.
15. Prepare logistics reports, shipment tracking updates, customs clearance updates, and other operational data as required by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
• Hands-on experience in customs clearance, import/export documentation, freight forwarding coordination, and customs declaration procedures.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation, customs requirements, HS code, permit application, and freight arrangements.
• Experience in manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
• Able to lead a small team and coordinate with internal and external parties.
• Good communication, follow-up, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/SAP system will be an added advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and manage urgent shipment and customs clearance requirements.
