Logistics Manager

Tata Semiconductor Assembly & Test (TSAT) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing in IC & SMT Packages.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building Indias first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Packaging facility . This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Job Description:

1. Inbound Logistics & Materials Management

• Manage domestic and international transportation of raw materials, components, and equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and procurement teams.
• Ensure timely clearance of imported shipments and minimize customs delays.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and logistics KPIs.
• Develop contingency plans for critical material shortages and line-down situations.

2. Outbound Logistics & Customer Deliveries

• Ensure on-time shipment of finished goods to customers.
• Coordinate with production planning, warehouse, and customer service teams.
• Manage carrier selection, freight negotiations, and transportation contracts.
• Support customer escalations related to shipment delays and logistics issues.

3. Customs, Trade Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements.
• Manage duty optimization programs, FTA utilization, and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate with customs authorities and logistics service providers.
• Maintain records for audits and regulatory compliance.

4. Cost Optimization

• Develop logistics budgets and monitor transportation costs.
• Drive freight cost reduction initiatives.
• Optimize transportation routes, shipment consolidation, and packaging methods.
• Improve working capital through inventory and logistics efficiency initiatives.
